On December 15, 2020, the International Seminar “Japan-Russia youth cooperation”

On December 15, 2020, the International Seminar “Japan-Russia youth cooperation” was held in a remote format (Zoom) in English under the leadership of Olga Ivanovna Dekker, Deputy Head of International Department of the Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations of Russian Technological University (MIREA) (RTU MIREA) (Moscow, Russia).

The applicants had to qualify by submitting documents and letters of motivation in English to participate in this event. Andrei Druzhbin, the student of group 220, the Institute of Construction from NSUACE (Sibstrin) participated in the competition. He studies in the subgroup with advanced study of the English language taught by I.M. Makarikhina, the teacher of Foreign languages department. He also attended Japanese language courses at the Linguistic Department of the university.

At the “Question-answer” session of the seminar, Andrei spoke about the scientific achievements of the Technology and Organization of Construction Department of NSUACE (Sibstrin), about the relevance of his scientific research “Technology for the construction of embedded and underground structures in megalopolis” (graduation paper supervisor is Dr. Technical Sciences, Professor, A.B. Vinogradov). The student of the NSUACE (Sibstrin) noted that he was very interested to take part and work on this scientific topic in cooperation with his Japanese colleagues and respected teachers. He made a proposal to organize a joint scientific and practical research with Japanese students.
