II International Scientific-Practical Student Conference for Foreign Students, Undergraduates and Graduate Students at NSUACE (Sibstrin): 

"History of Russia: Dialogue, Understanding and Tolerance"

On May 20, 2016 the II International Scientific-Practical Student Conference for foreign students, undergraduate and graduate students devoted to the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture was opened in NSUACE (Sibstrin). The conference was a part of the project "History of Russia: Dialogue, Understanding and Tolerance."

 The International Conference for foreign students was organized and held by the Chair of the Russian Language of  NSUACE (Sibstrin).

NSUACE (Sibstrin), Karamay Vocational and Technical University (China), Kazakh Humanitarian- Law Innovative University (Kazakhstan) and Association of Foreign Students (Novosibirsk, Russia) took part in the conference.

The plenary session was opened by a welcoming speech of Vladimir G. Sebeshev,  the Head of the  Department of Scientific Personnel Training. He pointed out that this conference is an example of scientific and cultural cooperation of foreign students who are given the opportunity to make presentations, participate in discussions, talk in an informal setting and to find new friends and like-minded people.

At the plenary session reports were made by the President of Association of Foreign Students in Novosibirsk K.V. Tsoi, who told about development prospects of the Association, an undergraduate student of NSUACE (Sibstrin) M .G. Bushmakina, who spoke about the status and place of the Russian language in the modern world, a student of NSUACE (Sibstrin)  Zhambaldorzh Amarzhargal, who spoke on the origins of Slavic literature.

The conference had   three sections: "Humanities", "Socio-economic sciences", "Arts and Culture". Reports of foreign students, undergraduates, graduate students from universities of Kazakhstan, China and universities of Novosibirsk were presented. The range of themes  was very broad: from the problems of studying Russian in different countries to the problems of education and family,  economic and cultural problems.

The reports were actively discussed, listeners asked questions, took part in friendly and constructive discussions about the development of languages, society, architecture, economy and culture.

We believe that skills and knowledge acquired by participants at the International Student Conference will develop, strengthen and will be embodied in articles and research papers in the future.
