The students of the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning of NSUACE (Sibstrin) participated in the International contest of student projects in the field of urban planning, architecture and design “ALTYN SHANYRAK”. It was held online on the basis of the East Kazakhstan Technical University named after D. Serikbayev with the support of the Union of Architects of the East Kazakhstan region and was devoted to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The participants of major universities in Russia and neighboring countries presented electronic versions of student course and creative projects of bachelor’s and master’s degree in nominations for the competition.

The English-language video about NSUACE (Sibstrin) got the second place in the Regional Competition of student video projects "My University" in foreign languages, which was held on the basis of the Siberian Transport University. It was attended by about 100 students of Novosibirsk universities, who presented 10 projects.

In November of this year, within the framework of cooperation between Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin) and Grodno State University named after Yanka Kupaly (Grodno, Republic of Belarus) Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Technology and Organization of Construction of NSUACE (Sibstrin) Vladimir Molodin gave lectures for students of the Belarusian University.

From August 29 to September 4, 2022, the second stage of the All-Russian Youth Ecological Forum "Ecosystem. The reserved land" was held in the Kamchatka Territory on the territory of the Laguna hotel complex. Master's Degree of NSUACE (Sibstrin) Karina Mkrtchyan was lucky to become a participant of the Forum.
The forum participants took part in three educational tracks: "Knowledge. Ecology", "Ecology begins with you", "Closed-loop economy and ecology of the territory". The program was full of educational and outside workshops. In addition to the training part, for the Forum participants were prepared various activities on the territory of the complex: sap boarding, boats, catamarans, wakeboarding, aqua zone. Also were organized excursion to the Pacific Ocean and volcanoes.

On August 23-26, the IX International Forum "Technoprom – 2022" was held at the Novosibirsk Expocentre Fairgrounds. This is the largest technological event in the country, organized with the support of the Government of the Novosibirsk region. The main topic of the forum this year was "Technological sovereignty and sustainable development of Russia". It was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Andrey Travnikov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov, Presidential Envoy to the Siberian Federal District Anatoly Seryshev. In total, about 800 speakers representing more than 60 regions of the Russian Federation took part in Technoprom-2022.

On June 29, 2022, the Institute for International Affairs Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin)
In cooperation with the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo of Russia in Chile, organized and held an online event "Open World - Open Sibstrin" for Chilean applicants.
Within the framework of the event, presentations were made by Director of Institute for International Affairs Director Natalya Sineeva, Director of the Center for Work with Foreign Students Viktor Melnik and Head of the Institute for International Affairs Linguistics Department Inna Makarikhina. Applicants were told about the university, the areas of training and the process of accompanying the education of foreign students at Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin), the features of their admission and migration registration. The program ended with an online lesson in the Russian language, which was conducted by Elena Zhigalkina, senior teacher of the Russian Language Department.

On March 1, 2022, the international seminar on construction science was held on the basis of the Institute of Civil Engineering within the framework of cooperation between Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin) and Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno (Republic of Belarus).
The seminar was prepared jointly by the Department of Structural Mechanics of NSUACE (Sibstrin) and the Department of Technical Mechanics of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and was held in full-time and remote format. The reports on their scientific work were presented by the heads of departments: Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Marina Tabanyukhova “Introduction of additive technologies in the photoelasticity method” and Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Vladimir Barsukov “Structure and properties of composite construction reinforcement”.

On February 28, 2022, at the Institute of International Affairs of NSUACE (Sibstrin), the winners and prize-winners of the All-Russian dictation in English were awarded among studying organizations of the higher education and educational organizations of the Russian Federation.
The event was organized by Kazan Federal University. The Director of the Institute of International Affairs, Natalya Sineeva, presented diplomas and congratulated the winner of the All-Russian dictation, Sophia Malysheva (114a group), as well as the prize-winners: Stanislav Lets (116 group), Leonid Okhotnikov (116 group) and Dulma Tsybzhitova (210 group). The organizers expressed special gratitude to the teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages of NSUACE (Sibstrin), who took part in the organization and holding of the event.

 Famous Italian architect Elisabetta Fabbri gave a lecture to Sibstrin students On February 22, 2022, the lecture of the famous Italian architect Elisabetta Fabbri “Italian Art and Architecture in the Modern World” was held at the NSUACE (Sibstrin). The event was organized by the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning of NSUACE (Sibstrin) in collaboration with WWTC MOSCOW LLC. Elisabetta Fabbri is an honored architect of Italy. She is the head of restoration workshop in Venice. She has been the curator of restoration work in the most important opera houses in Italy for almost twenty years of her professional career. They are La Scala in Milan, La Fenice Opera House in Venice, Petruzzelli in Bari, San Carlo in Naples and others. She has got the projects of the functional adaptation of historical buildings in Venice, Milan, Bologna, Naples, Bari, etc. In 2005 she was awarded the Commendatore Award by the President of Italy. She is the author of articles on the reconstruction and restoration of theaters, the participant of a numerous international conferences. |
International Mother Language Day is announced in 1999 by the decision of the 30th session of the General Conference of UNESCO. It is aimed at protecting extinct languages. The problem is relevant. One language has got extinct every two weeks in the world. In the modern world, there are about 6 thousand languages. One of the reasons for the languages extinction is the uneven distribution by the number of speakers. The language will get extinct if it is spoken by less than 100 thousand people.
A prerequisite for the Mother Language Day emergence was the tragedy at the Bangladesh University of Dhaka in 1952. Students gathered a rally about the recognition of the Bengali language as a state language. The authorities did not heed the requests of young people, there was the shooting and as the result four students died. The situation received a global public impact, the state bodies had to recognize the Bengali language at the legislative level. This struggle has influenced the UNESCO to establish the International Mother Language Day, which has been celebrated by the world since 2000.

On April 20, 2022, the Institute of International Affairs in NSUACE (Sibstrin) held a scientific event «Environmentally Friendly Technologies of Urbanized Territories" English Language Section, as a part of the XV International Scientific Technical Conference "Actual Issues of Architecture and Construction"
It is worth noting that the International English Section is being held for the third time. Its topic is relevant on the agenda of all international organizations and associations (UNESCO, SCO, BRICS, etc.), within the framework of such sustainable development goals as: No. 6 - Clean water and sanitation; No. 11 - Sustainable cities and communities; No. 12 - Responsible consumption and production; No. 17 - Partnership for sustainable development.

In October-November 2021, at the invitation of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno (Grodno, Republic of Belarus), teachers of the Institute of Civil Engineering NSUACE (Sibstrin) gave lecture courses for the students of the Belarusian University.
The lectures were held within the framework of the state programme “Visiting Professor”, hold under the support of the Government of the Republic of Belarus. Its goal is to improve the quality and accessibility of education in accordance with the needs of the economy due to the academic mobility of scientific and pedagogical personnel and expand the cooperation between Belarusian universities and foreign partner universities.

 NSUACE (Sibstrin) is the participant of the third Siberian-French Salon of Higher Education On 13 October, 2021, the round table “Cooperation of Siberian and French Universities: issues and solutions” of the Third Siberian-French Salon of Higher Education was held in an online format. Its goal is the development and deepening of the current contacts between France and Siberia in the field of higher education and university science, the formation of new partnerships. The main organizers of the event are Novosibirsk State University and Alliance Francaise - Novosibirsk. On November 19, 2021, an online Panel Session on Resilient City and Smart Development was held as a part of the 5th China-CEEC Capital Mayors Forum. The events were chaired by Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (China) and the University of Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Yury Skolubovich, rector of NSUACE (Sibstrin), took part in the work of BRAUIC consortium. In his video message, he welcomed the participants and expressed confidence in expanding cooperation with international partners.
It’s worth reminding that starting from 2019 NSUACE (Sibstrin) is a full member of Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium (BRAUIC), the main task of which is international coordination, promotion of innovation research, student and teacher exchange and the establishment and development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Russian and foreign architectural universities.

On November 9 – 10 2021, Novosibirsk hosted the IX Interuniversity Environmental Cup 2021 with international participation, the traditional annual student industry conference in the field of environmental protection and nature management, aimed at drawing public attention to environmental safety issues and organizing an active discussion of environmental problems between students, experts and public audiences.
The event is organized by NSUEM with the support of NSUACE (Sibstrin), the Novosibirsk Region Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology, the Committee for Environmental Protection of Novosibirsk Department of Energy, Housing and Communal Services, the “Center for Laboratory Analysis and Technical Measurements in Siberian Federal District” Federal State Institution, Novosibirsk Regional Association of Waste Management Enterprises “Ecology of Siberia”.
